GLP-1 Probiotic
Your gut naturally produces GLP-1, the “un-hunger” hormone that plays multiple roles in metabolic health. Unfortunately, GLP-1 can decrease with age and lifestyle. In the gut microbiome, Akkermansia and Butyricum convert the fiber in your food into butyrate, and Akkermansia secretes a protein called p9. Butyrate and p9 work together to stimulate your body's own GLP-1 production. GLP-1 tells your pancreas to produce insulin, slowing down the emptying of your stomach. This sends a signal to your brain that you are full, helping you to maintain a healthy weight.

Quercetin
Quercetin is a flavonoid found in many foods and beverages, such as red onions, green tea, apples, berries, and red grapes & wine. It works synergistically with Akkermansia – providing exactly the polyphenols Akkermansia need to establish in your microbiome, and boosting their anti-inflammatory effects. A recent study showed that when the two supplements were taken together in conjunction with healthy dietary changes, greater success in weight loss and insulin sensitivity were achieved than by dietary changes and Akkermansia alone.

PectaSol
PectaSol is a modified citrus pectin powder derived from the pith of lemons, limes, grapefruits and oranges. This pectin is modified into a very fine powder – the particles are so small that they can make their way through the walls of the intestine and into the blood stream, where the pectin binds to toxins and heavy metals and renders them harmless. PectaSol also helps to reduce systemic inflammation caused by an overactive immune system, it can help to increase insulin sensitivity, and it provides additional polyphenols to feed your newly establishing Akkermansia.
